Analyst, Cash Applications

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Cash Applications Specialist to join our finance team in Gurgaon, India. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and processing cash receipts, ensuring accurate and timely application of payments to customer accounts, and maintaining financial records.

  • Process and apply cash receipts to customer accounts in a timely and accurate manner
  • Reconcile daily cash applications and resolve discrepancies
  • Analyze and research unidentified or misapplied payments
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve payment-related issues
  • Prepare and maintain financial reports related to cash applications
  • Assist in month-end closing processes and audits
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding payment status and account balances
  • 2-3 years of experience in cash application or accounts receivable
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks)
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong data entry abilities
  • Experience with ERP systems and high-volume transaction processing
  • In-depth knowledge of accounts receivable processes and banking systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are a plus
