Ventus Executive Solutions is seeking askilled AN/BYG-1 Test Engineer I to support an innovative program. In this role you will provide technical support for the AN/BYG-1 Fire Control System and associated subsystems within the Strategic Weapon System (SWS) environment. You will support formal test events, dry runs, regression testing, validation and verification testing, and development builds across multiple submarine baselines—from legacy systems to next-generation submarine combat control platforms.

Work Location: Onsite: Newport, RI

Travel: Up to 10%

Clearance: Secret required, U.S. Citizen required

Required Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in developmental or operational T&E of U.S. Naval vessels, weapons systems, tactical systems, or software systems.
  • Experience supporting test conduct, execution, analysis, and reporting.
  • Ability to develop and execute detailed test procedures and step-level technical documentation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Experience using systems engineering tools and computer-based testing platforms.

 

Desired Experience:

  • Familiarity with AN/BYG-1 Combat Control System and associated subsystems.
  • Experience with Payload Control Systems (PCS), Weapons Control (WC), Tactical Control Systems (TCS), Voyage Management System (VMS), Mission Planning Application (MPA), Common Infrastructure System (CIS), and cybersecurity software integration.
  • Experience participating in TRR, DRR, SDCT, SDVR, Development Testing (DT), and Engineering Measurement Testing (EMT).
  • Experience generating briefs, reports, and post-test documentation.
  • E experience supporting submarine platform builds and fleet test events.
  • Prior Navy operational experience or related military MOS/RATE supporting submarine combat systems.
