Some project examples could include designing a new, optimized work center, experimenting with an improved cleaning method, identifying ways to reduce scrap/improve quality, automating a previously manual process, conducting time and material studies, or any other continuous improvement-oriented activities.  

Required skills and background: 

• Desired Major: Mechanical Engineer / Chemical Engineer 

• Desired Class Year: Freshman or Sophomore 

• Desired Skills:  

• Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions 

• Good communication skills and ability to work well with multiple disciplines and management levels 

• Project management skills to lead projects to successful conclusions 

• Proven problem-solving aptitude 

• Self-driven individual with high learning agility
