ALP - Test Automation Engineer

Embark on a specialized journey designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel as a Test Automation Engineer. This career path compiles a series of meticulously selected courses, each aimed at building your expertise in software development life cycle (SDLC), manual testing, SQL, automation testing with Selenium and Playwright, API testing, and CI/CD practices with Azure DevOps. Through a combination of hands-on projects, expert workshops, and real-world applications, this curriculum provides a progressive learning experience that prepares you for advanced roles in test automation.

Duration: 4 Months (10 hours / week) 

Group Sessions: Tuesday - 2:00PM - 06:00PM (UTC-4)

Key Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and its application in quality assurance and testing processes.
  • Gain proficiency in manual software testing, including defect tracking and management using Jira.
  • Master SQL for database testing and data validation, essential for comprehensive test coverage.
  • Develop advanced skills in Selenium WebDriver and Playwright for creating robust automation frameworks.
  • Learn to perform API testing with Postman, integrating it into your overall testing strategy.
  • Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, focusing on automation testing and continuous delivery practices.

Expected Competencies and Skills:

  • Proficiency in both manual and automated testing, preparing you for roles such as Test Automation Engineer, QA Engineer, or Test Analyst.
  • Hands-on experience with leading testing tools and frameworks, including Selenium, Playwright, and Postman, enhancing your technical capabilities.
  • Deep understanding of the SDLC, SQL, and CI/CD practices, enabling you to implement efficient testing strategies and contribute to continuous integration and deployment efforts.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent:

  • Completion of high school education or equivalent certification is required.
  • Applicants must provide proof of completion, such as a high school diploma or equivalent document.

Academic Performance:

  • A minimum GPA requirement (e.g., 3.0 on a 4.0 scale) is necessary for eligibility.
  • Submission of academic transcripts demonstrating satisfactory performance throughout high school is required.

Proficiency in English:

  • B2 or Greater:
    • Extended speech and articles
    • Fluent interaction and detailed text
