Fraport Greece, in the framework of the operation of the 14 regional airports, seeks a professional “Airport Duty Manager” at Samos Airport (SMI).

The position is under a rotating shift schedule and reports to the SMI Airport Manager.

Job Purpose

The Airport Duty Manager (ADM) is responsible for ensuring the safe, smooth and efficient operation of the entire airport following the provisions of the Aerodrome Operations Manual and all relevant regulatory documents, both domestic and international.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises all Airport operational functions/activities (AOCC, Airside and Terminal) and takes appropriate corrective measures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate policies.
  • Coordinates the inspection of airport areas and facilities to ensure that Health and Safety requirements are met and identifies any potential hazards.
  • Undertakes all required actions according to the Airport Emergency Response Plan (ERP) in case of an emergency and/or drills.
  • Decides in cooperation with the AM for the actions to be taken in case of operational disruptions.
  • Ensures the proper implementation of the security-related legislation and the airport security plan in cooperation with the Airport Security Team.
  • Reviews and approves the submitted Work Permits, provided they comply with the related corporate procedures and policies.
  • Manages airport staff during shifts to achieve operational efficiency and alignment with FG Corporate Values.

Requirements


  • At least 10 years working experience in the aviation operations
  • Very good knowledge of Greek and English language
  • Driving License
  • Certificate of restricted RadioTelefony
  • In depth knowledge of EASA & ICAO regulations especially in the airfield (Αnnex 14)
  • Fulfilled army obligations
  • People management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Initiative and team spirit
  • Customer service oriented
  • Preferably local residents
  • Studies related to aviation operations will be considered a plus
