What will you do in this role?

We are looking for a versatile individual to pioneer the use of AI at ICEYE. This role requires you to act as a business partner, identifying business needs and problems; as an architect, creating the plan for an AI solution; and as a developer, building that solution. You will work closely with our AI Strategy Lead, IT, Security, Legal, and other business units to ensure we are solving these issues in a scalable and sustainable way. Your work will directly shape the future of our business operations, driving efficiency and unlocking new capabilities across the company. This role can evolve in two directions based on your strengths and ambitions: grow into a people leadership role, or become a technical authority as a senior individual contributor. We value both paths equally.

Your daily work will include:

Business Partnering

• Collaborating with business units to identify opportunities and translate complex business problems into well-defined AI development projects.
• Working with teams across ICEYE to review and assess the feasibility of new AI use cases.

Architecture

• Designing scalable Generative AI use cases and solutions that address business needs.
• Integrating our core data backends (e.g., ERP, CRM, document repositories) with AI platforms to provide agents with necessary context and knowledge.
• Creating and maintaining clear documentation for AI systems, integrations, and best practices.

Development & Operations

• Building and implementing Generative AI agents and solutions.
• Developing and managing the systems and infrastructure for employees to run AI agents safely and efficiently, ensuring proper governance and security.
• Monitoring and optimizing the performance, cost, and effectiveness of AI solutions.
• Staying current with the latest advancements in AI technologies, platforms, and tools to drive continuous innovation.

Requirements

What will you need to be successful in this role?

• A strong understanding of AI/ML concepts and the capabilities of modern AI platforms (e.g., OpenAI, Azure AI, Anthropic, Vertex AI, open-source models).
• Experience in working with senior leadership, and driving forward AI Integration projects across complex organisations
• Proven experience with enterprise integration and automation platforms (e.g., Workato, Mulesoft, Make.com) to connect systems and orchestrate complex workflows.
• Proficient coding skills in languages such as Python, JavaScript, Go, or Bash.
• Solid software development experience, with a good understanding of the full development lifecycle.
• Experience consuming and building APIs, including handling authentication, data transformation, and error management.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their associated services.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
• Strong ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluent verbal and written English.

Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points)

• Hands-on experience building solutions using Large Language Models (LLMs), such as developing complex agents.
• Experience with AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, or Lindy
• Practical experience designing and implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines.
• Knowledge of advanced concepts for state and context management, such as the Model Context Protocol (MCP).
• Familiarity with enterprise systems like Salesforce and NetSuite.
• Knowledge of data privacy and security best practices as they apply to AI systems.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
