AI Researcher – Semiconductor & Materials AI (Shenzhen Residency)

We are expanding our advanced research activities and are looking for AI Researchers and AI Engineers with experience in:

• AI-based circuit design (EDA, optimization, layout automation, verification) or

• AI-driven material simulation and modelling (physics-informed ML, generative models, surrogate modelling)

This role requires relocation to Shenzhen, China for a minimum of 12 months. After the initial 12 month period, employees may choose to extend their stay in Shenzhen or continue their work from TCL Research Europe in Warsaw, Poland.

Requirements

Must have:

• MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or related field

• Experience with machine learning (deep learning, generative models, optimization, reinforcement learning, or physics-informed ML)

• Practical experience in circuit design automation or materials simulation/modelling

• Strong programming skills (Python; experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow)

• Strong analytical and research mindset

• Fluent English

Nice to have:

• Experience with semiconductor design tools

• Experience with multiphysics simulation tools

• Publications or patents in AI + hardware/material domains
