AI Prompt Engineer/Developer

Job Summary
We are looking for a creative and technically-minded AI Prompt Engineer to join our innovative team.

In this role, you'll be at the forefront of human-AI interaction, designing, developing, and refining the prompts that power our generative AI applications. You'll act as a translator between human intent and machine understanding, using your unique blend of linguistic skill and coding knowledge to unlock the full potential of our large language models (LLMs).

Key Responsibilities
● Design & Develop: Craft, test, and iterate on high-quality prompts for a variety of AI applications to ensure optimal performance, accuracy, and tone.
● Collaborate: Work closely with software developers, data scientists, and product managers to understand requirements and integrate prompts seamlessly into our products and workflows.
● Analyze & Optimize: Continuously evaluate prompt performance through rigorous testing and analysis. Use data-driven insights to refine prompts and improve model outputs.
● Code & Integrate: Utilize your programming skills in JavaScript or Java to build testing harnesses, create prototypes, and assist in integrating prompt-based functionalities into our core applications via APIs.
● Stay Current: Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in LLMs, prompt engineering
techniques, and the broader AI landscape to ensure our strategies remain cutting-edge.
● Document: Create and maintain clear documentation for prompt libraries, best practices, and model capabilities for the wider team.

Required Qualifications
● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, Cognitive Science, or a related field, or
equivalent practical experience.
● Proven experience working with large language models (e.g., GPT series, Gemini, Llama, etc.).
● Strong proficiency in at least one programming language, specifically JavaScript or Java.
● A deep understanding of the nuances of language, syntax, and semantics.
● Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
● Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications
● A portfolio showcasing successful prompt engineering projects or related work.

● Experience with API integrations and working with AI development platforms (e.g., OpenAI API,
Google AI Platform).
● Familiarity with machine learning concepts and natural language processing (NLP) techniques.
● Experience in a field that requires nuanced communication, such as creative writing, technical writing, or user experience (UX) design.
