What will you be bringing to the team?

  • Lead and support the GAIA Programme team in line with corporate management frameworks (e.g., PM², Agile).
  • Monitor and report on Programme execution and delivery.
  • Define associated metrics, indicators, and dashboards to facilitate reporting.
  • Maintain a registry of Programme activities, their interdependencies, and synergies.
  • Define and maintain the overall Programme plan, aligning it with the individual project plans (objectives, scope, tasks, deliverables, milestones, timelines, organizational structure, human and financial resources, procurement requirements, quality, risks/issues, etc.).
  • Establish quality control mechanisms to ensure Programme auditability.
  • Facilitate stakeholder management and ensure transparent communication within the Programme.
  • Manage relationships with strategic partners and vendors to ensure alignment with the corporate vision.
  • Oversee collaboration with other internal and external partners, institutions, and stakeholders as required.
  • Streamline contractual and financial agreements (such as SLAs and MoUs) for all Programme services.

Requirements

What do you need to succeed in this position?

  • Master’s degree (a background in Science or Engineering and an MBA are advantageous)
  • At least 10 years of proven expertise in technical Project/Programme Management.
  • At least 10 years of experience in Vendor and Contract Management.
  • Demonstrated experience in Project/Programme Management using PM² and Agile methodologies.
  • Confirmed experience as a Product Owner in large organisations.
  • Demonstrable experience in partner/vendor management and contract negotiations (SLAs and MoUs).
  • Solid experience managing transitions of large, enterprise-level information systems.
  • Good knowledge of application lifecycle management.
  • Strong experience using project management tools such as Confluence and Jira.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve problems creatively and strategically.
  • Ability to produce clear executive summaries and presentations, and to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, from operational teams to senior management.
  • Proven capacity to analyse complex information, evaluate options, propose and implement recommendations, and make sound decisions.
  • Strong ability to learn and apply new and emerging technologies.
  • Experience working within a European institutional organization environment is an advantage.
  • Excellent command of English (C2 level); knowledge of French (B1 level) is an advantage.
