AI/ML Research Engineer

We’re looking for AI Research Engineer with a strong foundation in machine learning and artificial intelligence, building and evaluating models. Driven by curiosity and a passion for innovation, delving deeply into cutting-edge research, and rigorously analysing academic literature and technical papers.

Self-motivated, consistently seeking opportunities to introduce novel ideas and solutions that push the boundaries of existing technologies. With a proactive and ownership-driven mindset, practical implementations, fostering innovation at the intersection of research and application.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop novel AI models and ML algorithms.
• Focusing on state-of-the-art AI research and literature
• Benchmarking current solutions and defining the baseline of models/processes
• Leading projects with an impact-driven approach
• Conduct in-depth research to identify new approaches and techniques.
• Analyze complex datasets and extract valuable insights.
• Coaching, mentoring, and collaborating with junior team members
• Creating reports of the experiments and analyses
• Publish research findings in academic journals or conferences.

Requirements

• +2 years of working experience in AI projects
• Proficiency in Python programming language and Machine Learning libraries and AI frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, or similar)
• Good knowledge of the state of the art of technologies in relevant fields (ML, AI, Agentic AI)
• Analytical and with the ability to set requirements and break problems into smaller task
• Experience with large-scale data processing 
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to tackle complex research questions.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
• Good communication skills to present findings and collaborate effectively.
• BSc in Computer Science or Engineering or related field

• Prior experience or some foundation in working with big data and high-throughput systems

Nice to Have:

• Extra points if they have a MEng or MSc (even PhD) in AI  / Machine Learning or a related field
• Extra points if they have previous working experience in a cloud-native environment (preferably AWS)
• Extra points if  they have paper publications  in AI/ML research area.
