Aretum is currently seeking a motivated and talented AI/ML Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing solutions using emerging technologies such as AI/ML/Blockchain. 

Due to the nature of our work as a federal consulting organization, employees may be expected to handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and must adhere to applicable safeguarding and compliance requirements. Additionally, all team members may be called upon to support proposal efforts as needed. This could include resume formatting, providing skills alignment summaries, participating in meetings, or contributing to solutioning activities based on subject matter expertise or functional experience.

Responsibilities

• Study and transform data science prototypes and apply appropriate machine learning algorithms and tools 
• Run machine learning tests and experiments, and document findings and results 
• Train, retrain, and monitor machine learning systems and models as needed 
• Consult with managers to determine and refine machine learning objectives 
• Extend existing machine learning libraries and frameworks 
• Assist team leads in identifying multiple emerging tech initiatives running in parallel related to such technologies as AI, ML, Blockchain and agile tooling 
• Maintain and upgrade existing team-developed software tools 
• Perform as a hands-on developer to implement solutions 

Requirements

• Impeccable analytical and problem-solving skills 
• knowledge of AI/ML frameworks, like Haystack, Langchain, various LLM Models, Huggingface
• Familiarity with data structures, data modeling, and software architecture
• Familiarity with Database tools such as Pandas, big data platforms
• Desire to learn
• 1+ years’ experience with open-source application development stacks
• 1+ years’ experience with development on either Python or Java 
• Interested in leading emerging technology product development 
• 1+ years’ experience with the GCP or AWS 
• Agile development exposure 
• Ability to work independently 
• Excellent oral and written communication skills 
• Excellent documentation skills 

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Python ecosystem
• Cloud Experience (AWS/Google Cloud)
• Machine Learning experience
• Innovative mind with a passion for continuous learning 
• Full-stack development experience

Education

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science, mathematics, or related field
