Luzmo is seeking a highly skilled and hands-on AI Engineer with a strong theoretical background and practical experience in applying AI technologies. The ideal candidate holds a Master’s or PhD in AI and has spent time the past 2 years working with Large Language Model (LLM) APIs. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating AI-driven solutions into real-world applications, working closely with software engineers, and product teams.

Integrate AI/LLM models into product workflows (OpenAI, Hugging Face, etc.)
Optimize AI model performance (latency, cost, throughput)
Design, build, and maintain backend APIs and services using Node.js
Build internal tools and APIs for experimentation and prototyping
Ensure system reliability, scalability, and observability
Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI/ML (LLMs, vector databases, LangChain, etc.)
Contribute to architectural decisions around AI infrastructure and backend systems
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and deliver AI-driven insights.
