The Role:
Your Technical Toolkit
- You know your way around n8n (or similar: Zapier, Make) and can build workflows that actually work in production
- You can read API docs, handle OAuth flows, work with webhooks, and debug why that JSON isn't parsing
- You're comfortable with Git, know what CI/CD means in practice, and have probably used Docker
- You can write SQL, build spreadsheets that don't break, and present data clearly
How You Work
- You're a generalist — you can go deep on finance automation one week and legal workflows the next
- You actually like working with non-technical people and can explain what you're building without jargon
- You care about whether people adopt what you build, not just whether it works
- You don't need someone looking over your shoulder — you take ownership and figure it out
- Fluent English; German is a plus
Nice-to-Haves
- You've worked with LLMs in production — prompt engineering, guardrails, knowing when AI helps vs. when it doesn't
- Experience setting up knowledge systems, RAG pipelines, or vector search
- You've thought about how to organize messy information so machines (and humans) can find it
- You've set up monitoring and alerting (Prometheus, Grafana, or similar) and know why it matters
- You've touched infrastructure: Terraform, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)
- You understand GDPR and data privacy — not just the theory, but how it affects what you build
- You've run projects end-to-end: scoping, estimating, managing stakeholders, shipping
- Experience automating finance workflows (invoices, reconciliation, expense processing)
