As an AI Automation Engineer on our Operations team, you will design, build, and maintain workflow automations that power both internal operations and customer-facing processes. You’ll collaborate with Sales, Support, Product, and Customer Success to streamline workflows, reduce manual work, implement AI-powered automation, and ensure systems run smoothly at scale.
What You’ll Do
- Analyze internal and customer-facing business processes to identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and AI-assisted improvements
- Build and maintain workflow automations using n8n, scripts, APIs, CRM tools, middleware, and AI-driven systems
- Develop scalable automations for onboarding, lead routing, reporting, QA processes, customer journeys, and operational workflows
- Troubleshoot automation failures, perform root-cause analysis, and coordinate fixes with Product and Engineering
- Assist Sales during active opportunities by outlining automation architectures and validating technical feasibility
- Implement and maintain integrations between Aloware and CRMs such as HubSpot, Salesforce, and other platforms using APIs, webhooks, and n8n
- Support Customer Success with automated onboarding flows, lifecycle triggers, and communication sequences
- Document automation logic, workflows, and integration dependencies clearly and consistently
- Identify recurring inefficiencies and propose improvements to systems, tools, and Operations processes
Who You Are
- Experience in automation engineering, technical operations, systems integration, or workflow automation
- Prior experience in SaaS is required
- Hands-on experience with n8n (or similar platforms like Make/Zapier) is highly preferred
- Familiar with APIs, JSON, AI-driven workflows, HTTP requests, webhooks, and automation logic
- Comfortable using tools like HubSpot, Salesforce, Postman, Jira, or basic scripting languages (JS/Python)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset — able to break down complex processes into clear, scalable workflows
- Excellent written and spoken English; clarity and precision matter to you
- Comfortable joining customer calls with Sales or CSMs to troubleshoot issues or design automations
- Thrive in a remote, collaborative, fast-moving tech environment
