A bit about the role
As a Grower Success Agronomist you will have the responsibility of working with our customers to provide agronomic insight and expertise to ensure the success of both the customer, and Agoro Carbon.
Location
Remote, in Pacific Northwest (Washington, Oregon, Idaho)
What you will be doing:
- Support our farmers and ranchers execution of enrolled practices following agreed timeline for better carbon productivity; manage grower inquiries, complaints, and challenges, providing prompt and efficient resolutions while ensuring adherence to practices.
- Document and report barriers or issues preventing the implementation of practices and provide resolution as needed.
- Build and maintain a strong customer relationship for growers to adopt enrolled practices, reinforcing the importance of compliance for credit generation and long-term success.
- Collects high-quality data related to new agronomic practices and submits into the company's data reporting and monitoring system, ensuring it is accurate and relevant for carbon credit generation.
- Provide timely, actionable feedback to other stakeholders related to practice change, and data quality.
- Flag any deviations from contractual agreements, processes, payments, or incentives, and provide solutions related to contracts or grower compliance with enrolled practices and new practice data.
- Collaborate with the Legal/Contracts team to resolve any issues related to contracts.
- Willingness to travel a minimum of 40% of the time
What you will bring:
- A proud agriculture ambassador with a Bachelor's degree in Agronomy or Agriculture related field. Advanced knowledge with a Master's degree is certainly an advantage. CCA (Certified Crop Advisor) designation confirms your knowledge advantage.
- A track record of exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills that inspires confidence and trust.
- Experience in ag industries including familiarity with farming practice change management and local row crop and/or rangeland management practices.
- A passion for sustainability and conservation/regenerative agricultural practices that is infectious and drives confidence in farmers/ranchers to follow your lead.
- Market knowledge, with an established network of growers and distributors who share your passion for continuous improvement.
- Experience presenting to small or large audiences in a fun and engaging way.
- You have kept up with the digital age and are proficient in MS office suites, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- You have familiarity with digital farm management systems, planning and optimization tools.

- History of building stakeholder relationships
- Sound agronomic knowledge of common row crop and rangeland/pastureland production practices in the geographic region you represent
- You need to have great interpersonal skills to work effectively with your team
- Ability to manage your own time and travel within your geography as you excel at helping farmers be successful with their chosen practice change
