Agentic AI Software Testing Intern – Intelligence Platform (IPA)

Truveta is the world’s first health provider led data platform with a vision of Saving Lives with Data. Our mission is to enable researchers to find cures faster, empower every clinician to be an expert, and help families make the most informed decisions about their care. Achieving Truveta’ s ambitious vision requires an incredible team of talented and inspired people with a special combination of health, software and big data experience who share our company values

This role will be based in the Greater Seattle area and interns are asked to come into our office several days per week. #LI-hybrid

Who We Need

Truveta is rapidly building a talented and diverse team to tackle complex health and technical challenges. Beyond core capabilities, we are seeking problem solvers, passionate and collaborative teammates, and those willing to roll up their sleeves while making a difference. If you are interested in the opportunity to pursue purposeful work, join a mission-driven team, and build a rewarding career while having fun, Truveta may be the perfect fit for you.

Join Truveta’s IPA team at the forefront of agentic AI in healthcare. This internship offers hands-on experience within an AI engineering team during a fast-paced release cycle, where you’ll help test, validate, and support deployment of real-world systems.

We’re seeking detail-oriented Software Testing Interns who thrive in dynamic environments. You’ll work closely with engineers to test features, review builds, and provide rapid feedback—gaining insight into how modern AI systems move from code to production.

This Opportunity:

This internship is a hands-on testing role during a fast-paced product release period. You’ll work closely with engineers to validate builds, run regression tests, debug issues, and document defects to help maintain product stability.

It’s execution-focused (not research or model training), but gives you strong exposure to:

  • AI-driven product development and release cycles
  • Pull request validation and release engineering
  • How real-world agentic AI systems behave and are tested

The role is designed to make an immediate impact while helping you learn how AI systems are built and shipped—especially in healthcare. High-performing interns may also contribute ideas to improve testing and automation as the system scales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform structured, manual end-to-end testing of release builds
  • Validate feature updates associated with pull requests (pre- and post-merge)
  • Execute regression test suites during release and deployment cycles
  • Identify, reproduce, and clearly document defects, including detailed steps and expected vs. actual behavior
  • Partner directly with engineers to validate fixes quickly and efficiently
  • Maintain and improve test case documentation, testing checklists, and tracking logs
  • Communicate testing status and findings clearly during high-frequency update cycles
  • Support rapid iteration during periods of increased bug fixes and feature changes

Required Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based development environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in software QA or manual testing
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps workflows and pull request validation
  • Experience testing web and mobile application builds
  • Exposure to bug tracking systems such as Jira or Azure DevOps
  • Interest in AI systems, automation, or AI-assisted testing approaches

What Success Looks Like

  • Timely validation of IPA builds and feature changes
  • Clear, reproducible defect reports that accelerate engineering resolution
  • Reduced regression issues during high-velocity release cycles
  • Strong coordination and communication with engineering teams
  • Meaningful exposure to and understanding of the agentic AI development lifecycle
