Agency Marketing Manager

Location: UK (remote, with travel to our Exeter office for team days as needed)

Swanky is a Shopify Platinum Partner delivering high-performance ecommerce solutions for some of the most ambitious brands in the UK and Europe. We're trusted by Shopify to lead its largest and most complex projects - from international launches to platform migrations and custom systems integrations.

We’ve been grateful to experience significant growth over the last few years. We’re now looking to further invest in our go-to-market (GTM) team to maintain momentum and continue improving our ability to execute at scale.

We’re open-minded on what this role looks like in practice, with seniority and contract length also flexible depending on the candidate. What matters most is finding an individual who can own the plan, bring deeper capabilities and experience, and help us build proactively with our partners and clients to tell the Swanky story and enable more retailers to deliver successful transformation and growth with Shopify.

The role

We have a clear and ambitious growth plan in place. You’ll play a key role in running and delivering it - coordinating activity across campaigns, events, partnerships and content, working closely with the wider GTM team and CEO.

This is a full-time, hands-on role with lots of variety. You’ll be comfortable working across different areas of marketing, with particular interest and experience executing campaigns, planning events and managing partners.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate marketing campaigns with the wider GTM team, producing the content and assets needed to execute to a high standard.
  • Plan and deliver Swanky-hosted events aligned with campaign goals (e.g. dinners, brunches, sports hospitality).
  • Research and recommend industry and partner events to attend, sponsor or activate around.
  • Build and maintain collaborative marketing activity with partners in the Shopify ecosystem.
  • Maintain strong, consistent agency presence across LinkedIn (including planning, posting and engagement).
  • Support inbound content strategy: supporting the creation of timely, relevant content, including collaborating with client teams to produce detailed and technical thought leadership articles and case studies.
  • Support outbound and campaign activity with the Commercial Director (e.g. email campaigns to generate leads, encourage event attendance, promote content).
  • Plan and execute regular newsletters to our CRM audience.
  • Keep the Swanky website up to date (e.g. content updates, SEO hygiene, coordination with Chief Creative Officer where needed).
  • Report on agency website performance and marketing activity, using insights to improve future work.

What we’re looking for

  • A strong all-rounder marketing skillset, with particular strength in campaigns, events and technology partnerships.
  • Knowledge of and experience in the Shopify ecosystem (agency-side or within a Shopify SaaS/partner company).
  • Comfortable stepping in quickly and taking ownership.
  • Ability to work autonomously when required, while also bringing structure and direction to internal collaborators on bigger initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the credibility to operate at senior levels internally and externally.
  • A genuine interest in commerce, commerce strategy and emerging industry trends.

This is a chance to join a fast-growing, independently-owned business with a strong reputation, a clear strategy, and a lot of exciting work ahead. You’ll be part of a high-performing team that values commercial thinking, a strong people-first emphasis and a commitment to ensuring you do the best work of your career.
