About the Role:

Hybrid

This role sits within the Markets function of our Affiliate & Performance Partnerships team. As the Partnerships Manager for the Japan & South Korea Market, you will be responsible for managing and growing our Affiliate partnerships within these markets. You will also play a key role in developing the overall strategy within these markets, driving the growth of our Affiliate business, in line with our company objectives.  

 What you'll be doing:  

  • Partnership management: you will own and manage a portfolio of affiliate and API partnerships, with a focus on building personal relationships and identifying opportunities to improve performance, troubleshoot technical issues and drive revenue growth.  
  • Business development: You will be responsible for growing our partner portfolio in the JP & KR markets, including prospecting new leads, conducting commercial negotiations, and facilitating technical implementation with new partnerships. 
  • Strategy development: you will play a key role in developing the overall Affiliate strategy within these markets, outlining the direction and tactics necessary for achieving company objectives and targets within your markets.  
  • Reporting: you will use data, insights and trends to measure performance at a partner and market level, developing insight-led initiatives to drive market growth and partner performance optimisations. 
  • Thought leadership: you will leverage your in-depth knowledge and expertise to act as a market & channel expert, representing the Affiliates team within the wider business, as well as Skyscanner within the region and industry.  

 

About you:

  • BD and Partner management - Excellent sales, negotiation and partnership management skills, with a demonstrated record of managing and growing existing partnerships and winning new business. 
  • Commercial acumen - Strong commercial and marketing acumen with an ability to identify business opportunities, deliver results, and adjust plans when appropriate.
  • Technical knowledge - Good technical skills and the ability to talk product: knowledge on APIs, widgets, tracking links, etc is a plus.   
  • Analytical Skills - Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to assess performance using numerous sources and identify key insights from ambiguous data sets. Analytics platforms such as Tableau would be a plus
  • Big picture thinking - Strategic mindset, with the ability to see the bigger picture, whilst being hands-on and managing numerous projects.
  • Cross functional collaboration - Able to operate cross-functionally within the business to achieve team and company-wide goals. 
  • Language skills - Fluent written and spoken Japanese & English are a must. Korean language is a nice to have.
  • Can-do attitude - You enjoy working as a part of a team, you're an incredibly self-motivated individual, with a contagious can-do attitude, and a level of optimism that always pushes you to try, make mistakes and learn from them.  
  • Industry knowledge - Experience within Affiliate Marketing is a nice to have, as is experience within the travel industry.  
  • Affiliate tools - Experience with affiliate tracking tools and networks (e.g. Impact). 
  • Travel - Excited by occasional travel to meet with partners and for events.
