Affiliate Java Engineer

We are recruiting for an Affiliate Java Engineer for a contract to start ASAP.

On-site presence required in Leeds 2 days per week.
Day rate: £350-450

What you’ll bring to the table:

• Solid development experience working in a commercial environment, a  good understanding of Java or similar (e.g. C#), Typescript and Angular, and wider experience in different tools and frameworks and across the stack.
• Knowledge of AWS or another cloud product set (e.g. GCP or Azure)
• An enthusiasm for broadening your skillset and learning new technologies 
• Commercial experience working with agile methodologies.
• Experience dealing with challenges from stakeholders on technical issues and influencing technical decisions in the team.
• Understanding and ownership of best practice as a Senior Engineer (eg. TDD, SOLID, XP)
• Experience of guiding and supporting junior and mid-level engineers.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD practices and deployments.
• Experience of writing effective documentation and knowledge sharing.
