What You ‘ll Be Doing:
- Participate in the entire aircraft design and development cycle of state-of-the-art fixed-wing small and tactical Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) for defense and security applications, including certification.
Interact with:
- Structural and stability aeronautical engineers to perform trade-off studies concerning weight buildup, planform layout, performance characteristics, etc.
- CFD analysts, to specify requirements for both low- and high-fidelity analyses and evaluate the results.
- Compile and release aeronautical performance reports throughout all aircraft design phases.
- Analyze the results of flight tests and release the corresponding reports.
- Interface with stakeholders in design reviews, test reports and project meetings.

Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- Bachelor or MSc in Aeronautical Engineering with emphasis on aerodynamics.
- Background in aircraft design using widely employed methodologies.
- Good knowledge of mechanical drawing rules.
- Hands-on experience with 3D CAD modeling tools.
- Knowledge of aircraft avionics, sensors and subsystems.
Desired:
- Proven working experience on planform layout and aerodynamic performance.
- Understanding of or experience with:
- CFD techniques and tools.
- Fixed wing aircraft stability and control.
- Variable geometry fixed wing UAVs.
- Good knowledge in aircraft avionics, sensors and subsystems.
- Familiarity with safety and airworthiness.
- Knowledge and understanding of product development methodologies, such as the V-model.
- Work experience with SIEMENS NX or DASSAULT CATIA V5.
