What will my day-to-day look like as an Advisory associate?

Each day is a little different as an Advisory associate so if you value variety and problem solving, Advisory may be a great fit for you! Other daily work may include:  

• Working with seniors and managers on a variety of client engagements from various industries
• Traveling to client sites and being an active contributor on your teams
• Communicating daily with engagement team members and clients
• Working on ad-hoc projects for the department as they arise
• Building relationships with team members and clients
• Reviewing feedback with your seniors and managers to continue to improve your work
• Networking with FD staff at firm social events
• Setting goals and developing a career path with your performance manager

What skills do I need?

Although we teach you almost everything you need to know, there are a few requirements you must meet.  Check them out here:

• Positive attitude
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong work ethic
• Growth mindset and eagerness to learn
• Openness to receiving and delivering honest feedback
• A strong understanding of Microsoft Office tools including proficiency with Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Must have an undergraduate degree in accounting or MIS
• Graduate degree in accounting or MIS preferred
• Must have enough qualifying credit hours to be eligible to sit for your applicable certification exam (CPA, CISA, CIA, etc.)
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to client sites
