Job Summary of the Advertising and Promotional Review Manager

The Advertising & Promotional Material Review Manager leads the end-to-end review process for promotional and non-promotional content across Axogen's portfolio of brands. This role is pivotal in ensuring an efficient and compliant review of all advertising and promotional material while adhering to regulatory standards, company policies, and legal requirements. The incumbent will be a key member of the marketing team and will work closely with cross-functional teams, including medical affairs, legal, regulatory, compliance, and sales, to facilitate the timely and compliant development and review of content. This position reports to the Senior Director or Marketing Communications.

Requirements of the Advertising and Promotional Review Manager

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, Science, Communication, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years managing PRC processes (Veeva PromoMats), Advertising & Promotional Review in the pharmaceutical or biologics industry
  • Working knowledge of FDA regulations, OPDP or CBER guidelines, and pharmaceutical biologics/marketing compliance
  • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and ability to learn and adapt to other software tools as needed
  • Experience developing and implementing SOPs, work instructions, guidelines and policies
  • Impressive organization, content and project management skills
  • Experience and proficiency in managing multiple projects with various internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to think strategically, work collaboratively, and communicate effectively across all functions
  • Flexibility and the ability to develop creative approaches to accomplish work and problem-solve
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills

Responsibilities of the Advertising and Promotional Review Manager

  • Oversee the end-to-end review and approval process for advertising, promotional, sales training, and promotional labeling materials.
  • Lead the Promotional Review Committee (PRC) process to ensure efficiency, compliance, and alignment with regulatory and business needs. Manage and facilitate live PRC meetings, including agenda creation, calendar coordination, and discussion leadership.
  • Act as a neutral facilitator during PRC discussions, driving solutions-based problem-solving and stakeholder alignment.
  • Manage expedited reviews, ensure timely issue resolution, and maintain high-quality standards across submissions.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on Veeva PromoMats, providing best practices for submission quality, compliance, and system usage. Provide technical guidance on PromoMats to colleagues and agency partners.
  • Manage end-to-end Veeva PromoMats workflows.
  • Implement process improvements that reduce review cycle times, minimize rejections, and enhance submission quality. Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies within the review workflow and partner with functional leaders to streamline operations.
  • Document consensus decisions, action items, and follow-ups during meetings.
  • Communicate material status, reviewer updates, and next steps to brand, regulatory, legal, and medical stakeholders.
  • Participate in marketing planning meetings to anticipate upcoming review needs and resource requirements.
  • Onboard and train new employees and external agencies on the promotional review process and Veeva PromoMats.
  • Act as a mentor and coach to cross-functional team members on PRC best practices.
  • Foster a collaborative, solutions-oriented review culture.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), such as review turnaround time, volume and cycle time trends and identify actionable insights from KPI data and implement process improvements.
  • Perform other duties assigned to support the broader marketing communications team and overall company priorities.

$84,190$105,237 USD

Axogen follows healthcare system guidelines with respect to credentialing, vaccinations and other employment/compliance related requirements, as well as CDC guidance. Axogen reserves the right to amend its policies from time to time in its sole discretion.
