We help modernize U.S. military installations, Department of Defense and other federal agency facilities to be smarter, more resilient, efficient, sustainable, and secure.



Travel Required: Up to 25% at times, serving our US Federal customer sites both inside and outside of the continental United States. Travel is sporadic. At times it can be heavy and at other times no travel is required.

 

As an Engineer, Advanced Applications, you will:

 

  • Digital Strategy & Innovation:
    • Develop and execute digital strategies that align FRCS capabilities with customer mission objectives and operational goals.
    • Lead the design of innovative, tech-enabled solutions that drive digital transformation and deliver measurable customer value
    • Stay ahead of emerging technologies to ensure solutions reflect the latest advancements in building systems, cybersecurity, and analytics
  • Technical Solution Development:
    • Conceptual design and needs definition necessary to deliver outcomes within integrated facility solutions across IT and OT domains that enhance system performance, mission readiness, and operational efficiency.
    • Leverage knowledge of FRCS, cybersecurity, and digital platform capabilities to architect scalable, secure, and future-ready solutions in partnership with Subject Matter Experts
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex operational needs into actionable digital use cases
  • Data Analytics & Insights
    • Utilize operational data, historical trends, and analytics to generate performance insights that inform strategic decision-making
    • Build and maintain data ecosystems, including dashboards and reports, to support real-time visibility and continuous improvement
    • Apply advanced data visualization tools to interpret and communicate insights across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
    • Partner with internal teams and customer stakeholders to identify opportunities for digital enablement and role-based outcomes
    • Facilitate solution demonstrations to educate and inspire adoption of digital capabilities across the enterprise
    • Provide subject matter expertise across building domains to support solution development, implementation, and sustainment
  • Policy, Compliance, & Change Enablement
    • Support the development of digital policies, standards, and requirements that enable secure and compliant solution deployment
    • Assist in change management efforts by providing training and guidance on new systems, processes, and technologies
    • Ensure alignment with cybersecurity and regulatory standards throughout the solution lifecycle
  • Enterprise Support & Leadership
    • Deliver enterprise-wide support for the development and implementation of advanced customer solutions
    • Collaborate with engineering, field operations, and cybersecurity teams to ensure seamless execution and long-term success
    • Contribute to a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and technical excellence across the JCFS organization

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution in Engineering, Science, Energy Management, Cybersecurity, or a related technology field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with Facility Related Control Systems (FRCS), HVAC, controls, energy management, operational technology (OT), or information technology (IT)
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical abilities
  • Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences
  • Exceptional documentation and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to lead through influence
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Common Access Card (CAC)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Office 365
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as SkySpark or Power BI; familiarity with programming languages is a plus
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%
