Job Overview

We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled Speech and Language Therapist (SALT) to join a leading specialist neurological centre in Ipswich. This role focuses on supporting adults living with acquired brain injuries and a range of neurological conditions, including Huntington’s disease, Parkinson’s, and multiple sclerosis.

The centre is dedicated to providing high-quality neurorehabilitation, long-term complex care, and disability management to improve the quality of life for individuals navigating complex neurological journeys. Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Assess, diagnose, and deliver specialist interventions for individuals with acquired communication and swallowing difficulties resulting from neurological conditions.

  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to create and implement tailored therapy plans that align with each individual's rehabilitation goals.

  • Monitor progress, adjust treatment approaches, and document clinical outcomes in line with professional standards.

  • Contribute to case reviews, care planning, and collaborative decision-making with families and healthcare professionals.

  • Receive support and supervision from senior clinicians, with opportunities for CPD and ongoing training in neurorehabilitation.


Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).

  • HCPC registration and eligibility for membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).

  • Experience or strong interest in working with adults with neurological conditions in a rehab or complex care setting.

  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.

  • A flexible and reflective approach to professional development and clinical practice.
