Job Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Speech and Language Therapist (SALT) to join a specialist Adult Neuro Rehabilitation service in Kent. This role is based at a leading Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre, supporting adults who have experienced brain injuries or other neurological conditions.

Set within the 12-acre grounds of a historic manor house, this award-winning facility offers a peaceful and well-equipped environment to deliver high-quality, person-centred care. The service focuses on comprehensive rehabilitation for adults with complex neurological needs resulting from injury, illness, or disease.

This opportunity is ideal for a Band 6 or Band 7 therapist with experience or a strong interest in neurorehabilitation, looking for a short-term contract with the potential for extension.


Key Responsibilities

As part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing, diagnosing, and managing communication and swallowing difficulties in adults with acquired brain injuries and neurological conditions.

  • Developing and implementing individualised therapy plans tailored to each patient’s needs and rehabilitation goals.

  • Working closely with other healthcare professionals, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and psychologists, to deliver holistic, patient-centred care.

  • Maintaining clear and accurate documentation in accordance with HCPC and RCSLT standards.

  • Contributing to case conferences, team meetings, and patient reviews.


Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).

  • HCPC registration and eligibility for RCSLT membership.

  • Experience working with adults in a neurological or rehabilitation setting (Band 6/7 level).

  • Excellent communication and clinical reasoning skills.

  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
