Location: Bromley
Start Date: ASAP
Rate: £26.00–£35.00 per hour
Working Hours: Full-time or Part-time
Duration: 3 months with the option to extend
We are seeking an experienced Adult Community Speech and Language Therapist to join a supportive and dynamic team in Bromley. This role involves delivering specialist assessment and intervention across both clinic settings (Beckenham Beacon Hospital) and community home visits. The caseload includes adults with dysphagia, communication disorders, voice difficulties, and stammering.
This position is well-suited to Band 6 or Band 7 therapists with solid experience in acute and community settings, particularly those confident in independently managing dysphagia caseloads. A car driver with access to their own vehicle is essential due to the community element of the post.
In this role, you will:
• Manage a clinical caseload of adults with dysphagia, communication difficulties, voice disorders and stammering.
• Carry out comprehensive assessments and formulate clear, evidence-based management plans.
• Deliver therapy both in clinic settings and via home visits across the community.
• Independently manage dysphagia patients, including those with acquired neurological conditions.
• Work within acute hospital and community environments to provide continuity of care.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings and ensure collaborative working with other professionals.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date clinical documentation in line with professional and service standards.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
• A recognised Speech & Language Therapy degree (or equivalent).
• Current HCPC registration.
• Completed RCSLT Newly Qualified SLT competencies (if applicable).
• Experience working with adult dysphagia and communication caseloads at Band 6/7 level.
• Confidence in independently managing dysphagia caseloads.
• Experience in acute adult hospital settings (essential).
• A full driving licence and access to your own car for community visits.
