This pooled position is for part-time, as-needed language instruction in one-on-one or small group settings, either online, in-person, or hybrid. Our programs are created upon request by each client. Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Prepares courses/classes and teaches clients in customized language programs;
- Works in cooperation with the Academic Coordinator of Custom Language Services in setting up a customized program for each client;
- Prepares a customized syllabus for the course;
- Provides Academic Coordinator with a narrative grade at the end of the program;
- Communicates closely with other instructors in program, attending pre-program meeting as set by the academic coordinator;
- Logs hours using Oracle HCM software;
- Adjusts content of program as needed, in collaboration with other instructors and the Academic Coordinator.
- Actual number of hours worked are contingent on program requests.
Skills/Abilities/Knowledge
- Excellent teaching skills
- Stong curriculum design and development skills, especially in communicative and/or content-based approaches
- Willingness and ability to comply with Institute policies, including safe work practices and procedure
Education/Experience
- Master’s degree in language education or equivalent with experience in intensive language teaching preferred
- Prior experience with business professionals preferred
- Prior experience teaching one-on-one preferred
Physical Requirements/Environment
- Instructor must be based in the US, and must have valid work authorization (we do not issue work visas for this part-time position).
- Professional attire: business or business casual.

Pay range: Depends on experience and completed MA in language teaching
