The instructor's role is to professionally manage the learning process of the students and to ensure that students achieve established learning objectives to the maximum of their potential. The instructor is to make use of any and all available resources, methods, techniques and strategies, to ensure student success. The candidate is expected to work collaboratively with colleagues to create a learning environment which is pedagogically sound, technically supported and innovative in nature.
We are currently seeking an instructor to facilitate a Corporate Delivery Opportunity for the ServiceNow Fundamentals and Specialization courses. The course will be delivered face-to-face (F2F) over a two-week period, with 6 hours of instruction per day. This includes a 1-hour open office session each morning prior to the official class time.
Responsibilities:
· Prepare and present lessons, lectures, assignments, quizzes, exams, lab activities and lab demonstrations for learners if applicable given the course outline
· Maintain records for the purposes of grading, assessing professionalism and tracking attendance in both theory and lab classes if given the course outline
· Manage the classroom or lab to ensure a positive learning environment
· Show personal interest in the learner and create a climate conducive to optimal learning
· Provide on-going support, guidance and advice to students
· Attend all SAIT training as required
· Achievement of School initiatives and Objectives
· Be an active and engaged member of the School.
· Adhere to all safety legislation, guidelines and safety standards as required
· Maintain contact with relevant industry sectors
· All other duties as required for the position
Qualifications
Required:
Certified ServiceNow Instructor who has firsthand experience in witnessing the current skill gaps in our local talent and the gaps in ServiceNow's current training.
Relevant technical experience within the last six (6) months
Experience and fluency with Office 365 (MS Word, Outlook and PowerPoint)
Experience with videoconferencing technology (MS Teams, WebX, Skype or Zoom)
Fluent in English reading and vocabulary
Comfortable speaking to the public
Positive & respectful attitude
Ability to read, interpret and deliver specific curriculum
Excellent communication skills
Ability to organize and present written information
Desired:
ServiceNow Platform Solution Consultant and Architect
Preference to background within Adult Education
Training and knowledge of adult learning fundamentals
Experience with curriculum development or instructional design
Previous teaching experience preferred
Experience with a Learning Management System (Brightspace, D2L, or Moodle is an asset)
Formal training or education in facilitation or teaching
