The Accounts Receivable Manager provides strategic leadership for invoicing and collections, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant Order-to-Cash operations across North America. This role drives process excellence by designing and implementing policies that strengthen financial controls and elevate customer experience. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, the AR Manager ensures SOX compliance and leads continuous improvements in systems and processes. Partnering closely with Commercial Operations, Strategic Accounts, and Sales, this role supports customer contracting and leverages data-driven insights—through KPI reporting and actionable recommendations – to optimize performance and deliver measurable results.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Accounts Receivable Management: Responsible for managing the accounts receivable team, including setting goals, developing strategies, and implementing policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective management of outstanding receivables.
  • Collections Management: Lead the collections efforts, setting the tone for accounts receivable team to follow up on overdue accounts and implement strategies to improve the collection process to reduce the average days sales outstanding (DSO). If required, identify vendors and build the relationship with 3rd party credit agencies, bankruptcy council, and/or collections agencies.
  • Customer Relations: Work closely with customers to resolve billing inquiries, disputes, and payment issues, maintaining positive relationships with clients while ensuring timely payments.
  • Invoicing & Billing: Design, administer and oversee the invoicing and billing process to ensure accurate and timely generation of invoices for patient dosing, price list controls, discounts, and rebate administration.
  • Customer Credit Evaluation: Evaluate and establish credit policies and limits for customers to minimize the risk of bad debt and financial losses.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports on the accounts receivable status, aging analysis, and collection performance for presentation to senior management and other stakeholders. They may also conduct in-depth analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement. Oversee and execute month-end activities to ensure reserves and/or write-off requirements are in accordance with IFRS standards.  Work with internal and external auditors, and ensure proper controls are documented to satisfy audit requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as Sales, Customer Service, SOX, and Finance, to ensure seamless communication and coordination related to accounts receivable matters.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with ICFR accounting standards, company policies, and legal regulations related to accounts receivable processes. They also identify and mitigate potential financial risks associated with credit and collections.
  • Tax: Ensure systems and staff are in place to ensure Telix remains complaint with all Sales Tax requirements, including storage and monitoring of tax-exempt certificates.
  • Team Management: Build team and individual capability, ensuring personal effectiveness for work in current and future roles.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously striving to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounts receivable process, initiate process improvement initiatives to optimize cash flow and reduce late payments. Embrace automation where it adds value and ensure the patient always comes first

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required, MBA preferred. 
  • CPA, CMA or equivalent certification preferred
  • 7+ years of progressive accounts receivable experience, including a solid background in credit and collections, billing, and month-end/year-end processes. 
  • Experience leading Accounts Receivables processes and managing teams required
  • Strong knowledge of AR processes and ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite, etc.), excel.
  • Experience with IFRS and SOX is highly preferred.
  • Ability to manage effectively through ambiguity, take ownership for decisions, and operate comfortably in a fast-paced cross functional team environment.
  • Effective presentation and analytical skills, ability to negotiate effectively, and strong customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of state and federal laws related to debt collection.
  • Preferred prior experience in pharmaceutical or medical device industry.
  • Experience working in a global organization and multiple legal entity environment
