Job Overview:
We are looking for an Accounts Payable Team Lead to oversee daily accounts payable operations, manage a high-performing team, and ensure accuracy and compliance. In this role, you will work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, driving process improvements and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the accounts payable team, ensuring timely and accurate invoice processing and payments.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Collaborate with internal teams (finance, procurement, operations) to resolve issues.
- Manage supplier relationships and handle escalated payment issues.
- Ensure adherence to SLAs and KPIs for accounts payable functions.
- Provide coaching and performance management to team members.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in accounts payable with leadership responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial systems (Workday or similar).
- Proficiency in Gmail, Google Sheets, and Excel.
- Experience with month-end close activities (vendor/bank reconciliations).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team management skills.
- Ability to drive process improvements and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and process improvements.
