Accounts Payable Specialist

The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that the accounts payable process runs efficiently, with prompt payments made to all vendors. In this role, you will communicate with people in every part of the business to ensure that invoices are accurately recorded and promptly approved. You will be joining an experienced and high-performing team based in the UK office and benefit from excellent exposure to the inner workings of a fast-paced trading organisation. 

WHAT YOU’RE GOING TO DO:

• Receive and process incoming invoices and distribute to appropriate business leads using paperless procurement system for approval
• Processing of Brokerage invoices and staff expenses
• Develop an understanding of Maven's business and ensure that invoice postings are accurate and consistent
• Liaise with vendors to resolve billing issues promptly
• Maintain procurement system
• Assisting with onboarding new suppliers and maintaining existing records
• Timely payment runs to ensure vendors paid within terms 
• Cash flow management
• Bank reconciliations, Credit card reconciliations and Supplier reconciliations
• Assistance with month-end processing

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• At least 2 years relevant experience
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong proficiency in Excel
• Good understanding of Accounts Payable including Purchase Order, Supplier Statement Reconciliations
• Good interpersonal skills for dealing with internal and external stakeholders
• Good understanding of double entry bookkeeping
