Accounts Payable

As PCGB's Accounts Payable Admin, you will maintain a tight level of control over the accounts payable function while continually identifying and implementing areas for improvement.

Please note this is a six month Fixed Term Contract position.

Responsibilities:

• Process and post supplier invoices accurately in SAP.
• Manage supplier and internal queries, including PO issues and duplicate checks.
• Reconcile supplier statements and intercompany accounts.
• Prepare and run weekly BACS payments for UK and international suppliers.
• Match payments to invoices and reconcile the PIFL account.
• Support month‑end with reconciliations and AP schedules.
• Maintain supplier master data and ensure compliance with financial controls.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Strong understanding and use of SAP & Concur finance system
• Previous exposure to supporting system integrations
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data sorting/filtering)
• Ability to process invoices, match POs, and manage payment runs

Desirable Qualification:

• AAT Level 2 or Level 3 (or working toward it)
• Degree in accounting, finance, or business (not required for most AP roles)
• Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills
• Ability to analyse AP ageing, trends, and exceptions
• Continuous improvement mindset and interest in process optimisation
