Accounts Assistant

Overview of the role

Reporting to Regional Financial Controller, the Accounts Assistant is part of our Shanghai Finance team.

Working closely with local finance and operation team and global finance team, you will support the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth financial operations.

To be successful in this role, you ideally have an academic and professional background in Accounting, along with a solid understanding of local accounting regulation.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage petty cash file 
  • Post bank transactions on D365 
  • Filing the hard copies of sales contracts 
  • Preparing payments list for supplier and freelancer payments and posting the invoices onto D365 
  • Checking and arranging all payments by cheque, bank transfer and petty cash 
  • Tag AP invoices and perform VAT invoice authentication via online tax platform 
  • Chinese vouchers tidy up 
  • Employee expenses review and posting onto finance system 
  • Work with global finance team to ensure correct finance information and coding onto the system 
  • Prepare monthly AP balance sheet reconciliation and investigate/resolve the differences 
  • Any ad hoc duties that are required

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related majors.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in Finance / Accounting field in a multinational company in China, AR experience preferred.
  • Microsoft office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS D365. Jindie etc.) are a must. 
  • Microsoft D365. Jindie are preferable.
  • Good understanding on China’s invoice regulation.
  • Good communication skills and team spirit.
  • Intermediate writing and speaking English skills.
