We are currently seeking an Accounting & Tax Supervisor who is responsible for leading complex, high-impact projects from initiation through delivery. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with exceptional communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.

Requirements

Job description:

  • Assess current practices and procedures and make recommendations for improvements

  • Prepare and/or review financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness

  • Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested and any other document requested by management

  • Supervise and/or manage all clients deadline (refer to our yearly financial calendar)

  • Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and

  • maintaining strong employee relationships and acting as a mentor to them

  • Work with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at year-end.

  • Ensure complete and proper filing of documents as agreed internally

  • Plan, assign and review staff’s work

  • Contribute to a strong relationship through positive interactions with client personnel

  • Liaise with corporate administrators, external auditors, associates, Income Tax Authorities and any other Governmental authorities when needed

  • Create yearly budget in accordance with the specified deadlines

  • Prepare updated tax card on annual basis in accordance with the specified deadlines

  • Prepare monthly new/lost clients’ report as per the specified deadlines

Requirements:

  • ACCA Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

  • Fluency in English and Greek is a must

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and tax management.

  • Strong understanding of IFRS accounting standards.

  • Experience with tax compliance, including filing tax returns and responding to tax audits.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience managing and mentoring a team of accounting professionals.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Excel and MS Office and computer literate

  • Familiarity with software programs Cycom, Caseware will be considered an advantage.
