Job Summary:
The Accounting Specialist / Bookkeeper is responsible for performing full-cycle bookkeeping and accounting functions, including reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance. This role ensures accurate financial records, supports month-end and year-end close processes, and assists with financial reporting in compliance with company policies and accounting standards. This position offers 1 day of remote work each week.

Responsibilities:
Perform full-cycle bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll support
Prepare and post journal entries accurately and timely
Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
Prepare financial statements and internal financial reports as needed
Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting and forecasting support
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation
Support external audits, tax preparation, and reporting requirements
Collaborate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies and improve accounting processes
