We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Accounting Manager to lead our general accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success managing teams, implementing best practices, and ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP in complex, fast-paced environments. This role requires advanced Excel skills, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to drive continuous improvement while delivering accurate, timely financial information.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team.
- Oversee general ledger activities, month-end and year-end close processes, and financial reporting in compliance with U.S. GAAP.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and applicable regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that support strategic decisions.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Manage external audit processes, ensuring timely and successful completion.
- Use advanced Excel functions to analyze data, generate reports, and optimize workflows.
- Partner closely with the VP of Accounting on strategic initiatives and special projects.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or equivalent preferred).
Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Advanced knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced environment.

Advanced Excel proficiency, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas, data analysis, and the development and maintenance of macros (VBA) to automate recurring reports and accounting workflows.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English (advanced proficiency required).
- High level of initiative and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Preferred industry experience: Senior Housing, Real Estate, Hospitality, or Healthcare.
- Preferred: Hands-on experience with Yardi accounting software
