Significance, Inc. is currently seeking an interim Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting transactions. This role requires government contracting and must have Unanet experience, strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage accounting processes efficiently. This is a six-month temporary role with that could transition into a permanent position.
Responsibilities:
Process accounts payable, vendor payments and credit card reconciliation
Review and approve expense reports
Enter accounts receivable payments
Ensure timely and accurate month-end close processes, reconciliations, journal entries
Process payroll, timesheet monitoring and posting
Serve as Unanet Administrator, enter new hires and terminations, new organizational setup
Collaborate with project managers on employee project assignments to ensure accuracy
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a government contracting industry
Must have Unanet experience
Paycom experience would be helpful
Strong knowledge of GAAP, DCAA and financial reporting.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
