This is an exciting role in a technology company that recently went public in Q4 2021. This role will be within a finance team led by the Assistant Controller with quarterly involvement with the SEC reporting team on preparation of SEC filings. This will be a hybrid position based in New York
What You Will Do:
  • General ledger maintenance, month-end journal entries and reconciliations
  • Financial statement preparation and review 
  • Review monthly accounting close process, including analytical review of the monthly operating results to ensure accurate accounting records are maintained
  • Compile and review departmental operating expense fluctuations on a monthly basis, providing explanations for variances
  • Review operating expense accounts for accuracy and provide proactive analysis to identify issues
  • Review balance sheet account reconciliations 
  • Support 10-Q and 10-K audit engagements with supporting documentation
  • Develop optimal procedures and best practices. Identify process and control improvement opportunities and work with management and peers to implement appropriate changes
  • Ensure data integrity resulting in a single source of truth for all financial information provided by our organization both internally and externally 
  • Maintain a solid understanding of accounting policies and stay current on changes in GAAP
  • Support SEC function in preparation of 10-Q and 10-K
  • Be involved in SOX implementation
  • Responsible for equity accounting, including accounting for option and RSU grants, exercises, vesting, as well as interfacing with our brokerage platform consultants, experience with E*Trade is strongly desired
  • Processing of equity related payrolls and ensuring proper tax withholdings
What You Will Need 
  •   Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
  •   Excellent Excel skills is a must
  •   Audit experience is preferred
  •   Over 4 years of relevant work experience

  • The base pay range for this position is $120,000-150,000 per year. The determination of what a specific employee in this job classification is paid and titled depends on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, prior employment history/job-related knowledge, qualifications and skills, length of service, and geographic location.
  • This position is eligible for quarterly bonuses based on specified benchmarks, in accordance with all applicable bonus terms and conditions
