Are you a technical accounting leader with a knack for process transformation? We're looking for a Finance Manager – Capital Accounting to oversee our capital investment program.

Managing an annual spend of ~$500m, this is a high-visibility role that acts as the bridge between our onshore strategic teams and our offshore delivery partners. You will ensure the integrity of our fixed asset lifecycle while serving as a key advisor to the Audit & Finance Committee.

You’ll be joining a fast-paced retail and hospitality leader where capital investment is a core driver of our future. We offer a dynamic environment where your work on the "Improvement and Transformation" agenda will have a direct impact on the group’s financial health and operational efficiency.

As the lead for Capital Accounting, you will move beyond simple number-crunching to become a strategic partner in how we grow our physical and digital footprint.

• Lead the end-to-end fixed asset lifecycle ($500m+ annual spend) across our diverse portfolio, including Retail and Hotels.
• Serve as the subject matter expert on IAS 16, ensuring precise classification, recognition, and measurement of Property, Plant, and Equipment (PPE).
• Mentor and build the technical acumen of our offshore team, championing a culture of continuous improvement and high-quality deliverables.
• Own the month-end close, balance sheet integrity, and internal control environment (SOX equivalent), acting as the primary point of contact for internal and external auditors.
• Collaborate with Group Finance, Property, and Formats teams to provide insights into project spend, WIP aging, and capital budget risks.

Now let’s talk about you: 

You are a qualified finance professional who thrives in complex, multi-entity environments. You balance a meticulous eye for detail with the ability to influence stakeholders at a senior level.

• CA, CPA, or CIMA qualification.
• 7+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 3 years specifically leading a Capital Accounting/Fixed Assets function.
• Proven success working within a Shared Services or Global Business Services (GBS) model, managing offshore teams.
• Proficiency in SAP S/4 HANA, Great Plains, and Dynamics 365.
• A track record of optimizing processes and leveraging data to move from manual tasks to automated insights.
