Accounting Manager

TLDR

Lead the development and implementation of efficient, scalable accounting processes while managing the company's first global external audit preparation under US GAAP.

We are seeking a resourceful, systems-minded Accounting Manager who thrives on solving complex problems, building scalable processes, and driving projects from concept to completion, all without losing sight of the day-to-day. This is not a "maintain the status quo" role. You will be a key architect of our accounting function as we prepare for our inaugural global external audit under US GAAP, operating at the intersection of operational excellence and strategic growth.

If you're the kind of professional who spots an inefficiency and immediately starts designing a better way, who can lead a cross-functional initiative in the morning and close the books in the afternoon, and who finds genuine satisfaction in building something that didn't exist before we want to hear from you.

This role demands a highly analytical, detail-oriented leader who is equally comfortable in the weeds and at the whiteboard, and who is passionate about developing best-in-class accounting practices in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Own various monthly close responsibilities including cash, prepaids and other assets, accruals, property and equipment, internally developed software and cloud computing costs, and cost allocations.
  • Oversee and review the preparation of financial reporting packages presented to senior executives for business performance reviews.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with GAAP/IFRS standards across all general ledger activity.
  • Identify gaps in current accounting workflows and design scalable, audit-ready processes that can support global consolidated reporting.
  • Lead the deployment of NetSuite modules and other financial system functionality, collaborating cross-functionally to drive efficiencies across the systems environment in support of corporate-sponsored initiatives.
  • Support the development and implementation of accounting policies and practices in conformity with GAAP, building repeatable frameworks that grow with the business.
  • Take initiative on ad-hoc projects and strategic initiatives as directed by Accounting Leadership from scoping and design through to execution and documentation.
  • Lead preparation for the company's first-ever global consolidated external audit, coordinating across teams to ensure readiness, accuracy, and a clean process from day one.
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure accruals, estimates, and assumptions are reasonable, supportable, and complete, bringing structure and accountability to processes that touch the whole organization.
  • Monitor and analyze GL transactions, proactively identifying anomalies, compliance risks, and opportunities for greater accuracy and following through with solutions.
  • Provide meaningful analysis to support forecasting and budgeting processes, turning data into insight and insight into action.
  • Bring a problem-solving mindset to cross-functional relationships, helping operational partners understand accounting implications and building shared solutions.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
  • CPA preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in corporate operational, preferably in a tech, manufacturing, or high-growth environment.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS, with expertise in inventory valuation and cost accounting.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience in accounting processes in a high-growth or start-up environment.
  • Experience in leading system implementations and integrations
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams and functions.
  • US Citizenship required.
