About this roleThe Jotelulu Finance team is looking for an Accounting / Finance Intern to support the day-to-day accounting and administrative finance operations of a fast-growing startup. You will join a lean, hands-on finance function where accuracy, ownership, and operational excellence are key to supporting the company’s growth.
This is a hands-on internship role based in Spain, offering direct exposure to real accounting processes, supplier management, and ERP systems. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn, with a strong interest in accounting and financial operations. You will play an important role in maintaining the integrity of accounting data and supporting monthly close activities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
The Finance team is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate accounting records, compliance with Spanish regulations, and smooth coordination with suppliers and internal stakeholders. In this role, you will help build strong operational foundations by supporting accounts payable processes, invoice management, and monthly accounting activities.
You will
- Download, review, and organize supplier invoices on a monthly basis.
- Ensure all supplier invoices are received, validated, and properly recorded.
- Manage and monitor the finance / accounts payable mailbox.
- Post supplier invoices and accounting entries in the ERP system.
- Perform cost allocation and accounting imputations.
- Support expense deferrals and accruals in line with accounting principles.
- Assist with monthly accounting close activities.
- Ensure compliance with Spanish SII (Immediate Supply of Information) requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to resolve invoice discrepancies and clarify billing issues.

Basic qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Availability to work as an intern (part-time).
- Basic understanding of accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Good written and spoken English and Spanish.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Willingness to take ownership of operational finance tasks.
Preferred qualifications
- Previous internship or academic experience in accounting or finance.
- Experience using an ERP system (e.g., Odoo or similar).
- Familiarity with invoice management or accounts payable processes.
- Interest in working in a fast-paced startup environment.
