Position Overview

An Accounting Clerk III is responsible for overseeing and executing accounting and clerical functions to support financial operations. Duties may include processing invoices, reconciling accounts, entering transactions into accounting systems, and assisting with accounts payable/receivable/cash functions, preparing journal entries and maintaining accurate financial records. The role may also involve supporting payroll process, and includes reconciliations—such as loan balances and prepaid fixed assets, assisting in month-end and year-end close processes. The role also involves maintaining and updating detailed accounting schedules, including those related to fixed assets and prepaids. It requires a proactive approach to identifying discrepancies, recommending process improvements to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

 

Quantum FBI is headquartered in New York; however, this position will be based remotely in Colombia.


Required Qualifications


•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3-5 years' experience in accounting
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, advanced Excel skills & basic knowledge of Power Query
• Proficient in accounting software such as QuickBooks and Intacct
• Basic understanding of U.S. GAAP, with a preferred understanding of IFRS
• Strong analytical skills
• Outstanding attention to detail
• English B2 Level
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage workload priorities, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met

 
Primary Responsibilities


    • Advanced understanding of cash and accrual basis accounting • Understand role based technology tools •Ability to prepare, post and reconcile transactions for AR/AP, Cash, Expense reports, Payroll, Fixed Assets depreciation, and Prepaid amortization journal entries accurately and efficiently and performing self-reviews • Assist in month-end and year-end close processes • Assist in basic financial reporting (aging reports, fixed assets and prepaid schedules) by compiling and reviewing data for accuracy and completeness • Identify discrepancies and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies

     
    Technical Skills

     
    • Basic knowledge of accounting standards (e.g., GAAP & IFRS) and regulatory requirements.
    • Expertise in preparing journal entries, and account reconciliations.
    • Experience in supporting and executing month-end and year-end close processes.
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP
    • Basic knowledge of Power Query, macros and data analysis.
    • Strong ability to manage, organize, and analyze large volumes of financial data.
    • Familiarity with tools for improving accounting processes.
    • Experienced in QuickBooks, Intacct or other AR and AP platforms (Bill.com, Ramp).
