Your mission: 

As aAccounting Clerk you will be supporting the integrity and accuracy of Reliable Control’s financial operations through dependable accounting and administrative support. This role contributes to high-quality financial processes, strong internal partnerships, and continuous improvement by working collaboratively and upholding our commitment to honesty, accuracy, and teamwork. 


This is a 14-month fixed-term contract position to provide maternity leave coverage. 


In this role you will: 

  • Perform general accounting and financial administration duties to support day-to-day business operations 
  • Maintain accurate, well-organized, and confidential financial records in accordance with internal controls and best practices 
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries and assist in resolving financial or billing-related issues in a professional and timely manner 
  • Support month-end and period-end close activities, including preparing reports and completing reconciliations 
  • Collaborate with team members to support accounting and finance operations, including cross-coverage and shared responsibilities 
  • Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned 

 

This role might be right for you if you have: 

  • 1–2 years of experience in an administrative or accounting-related role 
  • Demonstrated proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and database-related functions 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • A professional demeanor with excellent customer service abilities 
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment 
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and multitask 
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail 


You’ll be successful in this position if you have: 

  • Post-secondary education in Business, Accounting, or a related field 
  • Experience using Microsoft Great Plains or another ERP system 
  • Accounts Receivable experience 
  • A working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
