We are seeking a self-starting, detail-oriented Accounting Associate to join our team in Malaysia. This Malaysia-based role will dedicate their time to supporting U.S. accounting operations.  The ideal candidate will have strong data entry skills, fluency in English, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Enter and process high volumes of vendor invoices and customer payments
  • Reconcile bank and credit card transactions
  • Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) entries in our ERP
  • Maintain organized filing systems for financial documents
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in vendor and customer accounts to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial transactions
  • Complete accounting processes & tasks in our workflow system
  • Use Google spreadsheets to process reports and accounting records
  • Track and report accounting efficiency & issues to management
  • Function in accordance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws
  • Improve accounting processes and create new documentation
Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role
  • Strong English communication skills—both written and verbal
  • High-volume data entry accuracy and good attention details
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel for reconciliations and reporting
  • Highly organized, proactive, and able to work independently
  • Motivated to grow and expand responsibilities as the company scales
  • Tech-savvy and able to learn new software & tools 
  • Can work independently and as part of a team
