Secure Source is currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to join our finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to grow their career in accounting within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Looking to hire a full time/Part time Accounting Assistant for our El Mirage, AZ office.  

As an accounting assistant, your role involves providing support to accountants and finance professionals in various tasks related to financial record-keeping and reporting. 

Responsibilities:

1. Bookkeeping: Recording financial transactions in accounting software or spreadsheets, including accounts payable and accounts receivable entries.
2. Invoice Processing: Verifying and processing invoices from vendors or customers, ensuring accuracy and timely payment or collection.
3. Bank Reconciliation: Matching bank statements with internal records to ensure all transactions are accounted for and discrepancies are addressed.
4. Expense Reporting: Assisting in the preparation and submission of expense reports for reimbursement by employees, ensuring compliance with company policies.
5. Financial Reporting: Generating basic financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements under the guidance of senior accountants.
6. Data Entry: Inputting financial data accurately and efficiently into accounting systems or spreadsheets.
7. Assisting Audits: Providing support during internal or external audits by gathering requested documentation and ensuring compliance with auditing standards.
8. Administrative Tasks: Performing general administrative duties such as filing, organizing financial records, and responding to inquiries from clients or colleagues.
9. Lien Waivers: Review and process requests with accuracy and completeness of lien waiver documents, including lien releases, partial releases, and final releases.
   
   
   

Qualifications: 

• Proficiency in Microsoft office, Google Sheets and accounting software such as QuickBooks is a plus.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
• Previous experience in an accounting or finance role is preferred but not required.
• Prior experience preparing monthly financial statements
  

Effective communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting software like QuickBooks or Google Sheets are essential for success in this role. Additionally, a basic understanding of accounting principles and regulations will help you navigate various tasks more effectively.

Schedule: Monday- Friday, hours and days are flexible depending on full-time/part-time availability

Salary: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour DOE
