Accounting Assistant

On behalf of our client, a leading manufacturing company in Evia, Greece, we are seeking an Accounting Assistant to join their team.
The successful candidate will be based in Nea Artaki, Chalkida, and should be a passionate, self-motivated professional with strong organizational and analytical skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment. This role involves supporting and assisting with all financial and accounting procedures within the organization.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily management of accounting functions, including invoice preparation, account reconciliations, and the maintenance of accurate financial records.
- Managing communication and coordination with clients, business partners and warehouse operations.
- Manage vendor invoices, ensuring prompt payment processing while fostering positive relationships with suppliers.
- Liaising with external partners (banks, accountants, auditors).
- Performing administrative tasks as needed in the department (communication with public authorities and service providers, drafting of agreements, management of correspondence, monitoring and ordering of office supplies).
Requirements
- BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant field.
- Proven work experience as an Accounting Assistant for at least 2–3 years in logistics and warehouse departments.
- Basic knowledge of accounting and the Greek tax framework.
- Hands-on experience with MS Excel skills.
- Good English for communication is a plus.
- Very good organization skills and attention to detail.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
