Accounting Assistant

On behalf of our client, we are seeking an Accounting Assistant to join their team. The ideal candidate is a passionate and self-motivated professional with strong organizational and analytical skills, who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The role includes supporting and assisting with all financial and accounting procedures within the organization.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in the daily management of accounting functions, including invoice preparation, account reconciliations, and the maintenance of accurate financial records.
• Contribute to the preparation of monthly financial reports, ensuring the proper and timely recording of all transactions.
• Manage vendor invoices, ensuring prompt payment processing while fostering positive relationships with suppliers.
• Liaising with external partners (banks, accountants, auditors).
• Performing administrative tasks as needed in the department (communication with public authorities and service providers, drafting of agreements, management of correspondence, monitoring and ordering of office supplies).

Requirements

• BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant field.
• Proven working experience as Accounting Assistant for at least 2 - 3 years.
• Basic knowledge of accounting and the Greek tax framework.
• Knowledge of accounting software SoftOne will be considered an asset.
• Hands-on experience with MS Excel skills.
• Good English for communication is a plus.
• Very good organization skills and attention to detail.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
