This role is about:
The Accountant is responsible for managing daily accounting transactions, preparing reconciliations, monitoring company card expenses, and supporting the preparation of management accounts and VAT returns. The role ensures compliance with accounting standards and company policies while assisting the Financial Controller and internal teams with ad-hoc accounting tasks.

Location: Limassol, Cyprus

Direct Reporting Line: Financial Controller

What will you do:

  • Record and maintain daily accounting transactions in the accounting system (including, but not limited to, bank transactions, interest income, bank charges, leases, financial assets, prepayments and accruals).
  • Prepare bank and other reconciliations of the group companies and ensure any discrepancies are resolved timely.
  • Monitor the company’s card expenses and reconcile receipts obtained from the departments.
  • Prepare management accounts for small group companies and explain variances.
  • Prepare VAT returns
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the direct manager.

What we need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in an accounts payable, billing, or related finance role.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and workflow tools like Trello.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn and grow in the role.
