ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting daily accounting activities, and ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

• Perform general accounting functions, including preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts.
• Assisting in the day to day accounting duties and the posting of supplier invoices.
• Following up any supplier queries, supplier statement reconciliations, investigation of discrepancies.
• Assisting in VAT Returns and preparing various compliance reports.
• Liaising with the Treasury team for funding needed for payments.
• Processing weekly payment runs and other ad hoc payments and respective bank reconciliations.
• Calculation and maintaining of the monthly accruals and prepayments schedules.
• Maintaining good and clear communication with various cost owners from different departments to ensure that the accruals are captured accurately.
• Monthly inter-company accounting and reconciliation.
• Assisting with interim, year-end audits and the preparation of financial statements.
• Assisting with review procedures according to the needs, ensuring that these are carried out in an accurate and timely manner
• Maintaining the necessary controls involving accounting, payments, various data checks across different data tools

OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

• Qualified Accountant (Master in Accountancy or ACCA)
• 3+ years of experience in Accounting
• Problem solving skills and attention to detail are very important for this role
• Ability to work independently
• Organised with good verbal and communication skills
• Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge
• Experience in the gaming industry

 Nice to have:

• Portuguese speaking would be considered an asset
