We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented junior accountant who is eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes ownership of their responsibilities, and is excited to build a strong foundation in accounting while supporting day-to-day finance operations.
What you will do:
Oversee daily finance operations and general bookkeeping to ensure accurate and timely records.
Manage day-to-day accounts receivable and end-to-end accounts payable processing, ensuring timely and accurate vendor payments.
Assist the Finance Manager with weekly bank reconciliations (including payment platforms such as Adyen) and month-end closing processes.
Maintain compliance with local accounting standards and company policies, including supporting tax filings and coordinating with external tax agents.
Maintain complete and organised accounting records locally, including vendor onboarding (e.g., W-9 collection), expense tracking, and prepaid expense schedules, and coordinate with HQ to resolve accounting-related queries.
Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports to management and HQ within required deadlines, including cash flow reporting and reconciliation summaries.
Process and manage employee expense reimbursements and operational payments (e.g., driver payouts) accurately and on schedule.
Liaise with external auditors and prepare supporting schedules and documents required for audit purposes, including balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
Support chargeback tracking, dispute management, and reconciliation of payment transactions where applicable.
Assist with journal entries, accruals, and fixed asset tracking to support accurate financial reporting.
Perform other ad-hoc duties and finance-related tasks as assigned.
What we seek:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
Solid knowledge of local accounting standards and regulations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.).
Experience with Adyen + NetSuite is a plus.
